At the height of the 90-year-celebrations, the federal state of Burgenland hosts a gala together with the ORF. Broadcast live across Austria by the ORF, the most acclaimed regional Artists gather to celebrate the state. Under the musical direction of Christian Kolonovits, accompanied by a large symphony orchestra, artists of all ages and backgrounds sing and play together. Classical music crosses over with everything from modernly arranged folklore to the biggest pop hits of our time. Cabarets and content-related talks complete the gala, making it into an exciting profile of Burgendland’s artistic and historic landscape. Barbara Karlich and Harald Krassnitzer guide us through the show written by Angelika Messner and staged for television by Kurt Pongratz.
